"Liberated for a Moment" is an homage to the wondrous ability of nature to balance and incorporate complementary colors in our environment with delicacy. It seeks to free complementary colors from the perception of being conflicting, flashy, and jarring. Using a three-faced structure, the work creates an illusion of depth mimicking waves under a setting sun. Soft wind and slow ripples under a mirrored plane are paired with layered, ruched terracotta and emerald blue fabrics. The warm yellow light brings these effects to life. Allow yourself to breathe in the serenity brought about by the love marriage of colors on the opposite ends of a color spectrum.
