By placing two spaces in parallel with each other the viewer has the ability to control their own experience and movement from one perspective to another. On one side, the choice of reflective materials and directional light creates extreme glare and in stark contrast, a calming atmosphere composed of fabrics and small glimpses of light welcomes the viewer. The viewer’s participation is key to their encounter with this piece, as they have full control over how quickly or slowly they transition from one shocking extreme to the other. The angle one chooses to observe the triangular shapes from influences the glare and demonstrates how our experience of light is shaped by both our surroundings and the angle of perception.
