By turning this intangible experience into an object, the lamp forces viewers to confront discomfort head-on, challenging notions of visibility, power, and perception in everyday spaces. Its eerie LED glow, harsh metal tubing, and obscured acrylic elements create a presence that is impossible to ignore, much like the oppressive gaze it represents. The "Male Gaze Luminaire" , is a deliberately unsettling multimedia piece that embodies the discomfort of the male gaze in tactile form. Designed to be an eye sore—both visually and conceptually—the lamp replicates the invasive feeling of being watched. Placed on a pedestal—both literally and metaphorically—the lamp mirrors how society elevates and normalizes the male gaze, forcing viewers to confront its dominance in everyday life.
