Our physical world is an observable bubble of living creatures that are constantly going through the growing cycle of change. Yet, what is not obvious to the eye are the hopes of spirituality. The amorphous structures strive to perform the stages of metamorphosis through their movements. Using dried roses, tulip petals, fallen leaves, and other papers, I created a unique textured and durable material to call back to the evolutions in nature. Left to right, the petals are carefully arranged from the most populated to the least, and darkest to lightest, all signifying the changing seasons of the year. With light coming through the translucent wired masks, the piece itself will glow. Similar to the effect of stained glass windows, ?Transfigure? strives to enrich the spirits within the audience through its radiance.
